1. Introduction
Welcome to Ankorlist, a to-do list mobile application developed by Ankor Labs Limited. By downloading, accessing, or using Ankorlist ("App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Definitions
App refers to the Ankorlist mobile application.
User means any person who accesses or uses the App.
Content refers to all data created, uploaded, or shared by Users within the App, including to-do items, list titles, photos, and other content you create, upload, or share within the App.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country of residence if higher, to create an account or use the App.
4. Account Registration and Consent
To use Ankorlist, you must create an account using your email and password, or by signing in with Google, Apple, or a magic link. You may also use the App as a Guest via anonymous sign-in, which does not require any personal information but is still subject to these Terms; Guest data may be lost if you switch or lose your device. During sign-up, you explicitly consent to these Terms by continuing with account creation ("By continuing, you agree..."). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities that occur under your account.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account in the Profile page. Please contact us at [email protected] if you need further assistance on the deletion process.
5. Data Collection and Use
Our collection and use of personal data — including account information, payment information, usage analytics, location, calendar, and photo data — is described in full in our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to this data collection and processing as described there.
6. User-Generated Content & Collaboration
Your to-do list items and any other Content you create or upload within the App constitute user-generated content. You retain ownership of your Content but grant us a non-exclusive license to host, store, sync, cache, and display it as necessary to provide the App's services, including to collaborators you invite to a shared list.
You are solely responsible for the Content you create, upload, or share, and you represent that you have all necessary rights and permissions to do so — including, where you upload photos that identify or include other people, that you have the right to share those images through the App.
You agree not to upload or share Content that is unlawful, harmful, offensive, or infringes on others' rights.
Collaborator Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the individuals you invite to shared lists, including via generated invite or share links. Ankor Labs Limited does not mediate disputes between collaborators and is not responsible for how a collaborator uses Content, photos, or location data you share with them.
Feedback Submissions: If you submit feedback with optional screenshots, you are responsible for ensuring those screenshots do not contain sensitive or confidential information you do not wish to share with us.
7. Location, Calendar, and Photo Features
The App offers optional features that rely on device permissions and third-party services:
- Location stamping and place search, powered by Google Places API and Google Maps SDK. You are responsible for the accuracy of location data you attach to a task, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or completeness of third-party location or mapping data.
- Calendar viewing, which reads your device calendar events, read-only, to display them alongside your tasks in the "Upcoming" feature. We do not write to, modify, or store your calendar data. We are not responsible for the accuracy of the calendar data displayed, which reflects your device's native calendar.
- Photos, used for profile photos, list thumbnails, feedback attachments, and focus-mode backgrounds. You represent that you have the right to upload and share any photo you select.
- Link previews, which fetch titles and images from external websites you link to a task. This content originates from third parties we do not control; we are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or availability of externally-sourced preview content, and your use of any linked website remains subject to that website's own terms.
8. License to Use the App
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on any Apple-branded or Android-compatible products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Google Play Terms of Service.
9. Subscription and Payment Terms
Ankorlist offers the following subscription plans: monthly, annual, and lifetime. Payments are processed through RevenueCat. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
You are responsible for any applicable taxes. Subscription renewals are automatic unless canceled prior to the renewal date.
10. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
- Use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes;
- Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the App;
- Impersonate others or create multiple accounts fraudulently;
- Transmit spam or unsolicited communications, including generating or distributing invite/share links for spam or harassment purposes;
- Misuse location, calendar, or photo permissions to collect or expose data about others without their consent;
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
No "scraping" or automated bot-creation of lists.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the App if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct.
We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice.
12. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App and its content (excluding user-generated Content) belong to Ankor Labs Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.
13. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services, including Firebase, Google Places API, Google Maps SDK, and RevenueCat, to provide certain features. We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or performance. Interruption or discontinuation of a third-party service may affect the availability of related features within the App.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
15. Limitation of Liability
Ankor Labs Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the App, including data loss or service interruptions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Ankor Labs Limited be liable for any damages exceeding the amount actually paid by you for the App or the monthly subscription fee for the month during which the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Ankor Labs Limited harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ankor Labs Limited regarding the App.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Hong Kong, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under the laws of your country of residence.
20. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted at ankorlist.com/terms-and-conditions, accessible via a link in the App's Settings page, which opens in your device's default browser. We do not send in-app pop-up notifications of changes, so we encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
21. Privacy Policy
Your use of Ankorlist is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

23. Apple App Store and Google Play Store Additional Terms
"You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof."
Maintenance and Support: Ankor Labs Limited is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the App. You acknowledge that neither Apple nor Google has any obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
Warranty: In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple or Google for a refund of the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither Apple nor Google will have any other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of Ankor Labs Limited.
Product Claims: You acknowledge that Ankor Labs Limited, not Apple or Google, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
Intellectual Property Rights: You acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Ankor Labs Limited, not Apple or Google, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
Legal Compliance: You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Third-Party Beneficiary: You acknowledge and agree that Apple and Google, and their subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple and Google will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
By creating an account or using Ankorlist, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
